Our front porch is a dirt magnet, but this little 5.25-inch plunger fits right by the door and catches everything before the dog stamps it through the house. The compact 4-inch height makes it easy to stash in the car for muddy trail days too, and my pup doesn't fight it at all.
The bristles inside really grab the mud between the toes without my dog freaking out, and the 5.25-inch length fits her medium paws fine. Takes a bit of wiggling to get her to stand still, but it's way better than towel-wiping the car seats after a hike.
