The size is compact enough to toss in the car for trips to the park, which is exactly why I grabbed it. It does a decent job on muddy paws, though I have to rinse the cup out a couple times if the mud is really thick.

My dog used to track mud everywhere after rainy walks, but this little plunger thing actually grabs the dirt off his paws before he steps inside. It's small enough to keep by the back door without being an eyesore. Only wish the opening were a touch bigger for his thick back paws.
